The IEEE Tunisian Student & Young professional congress 2016 in its 4th edition was held on December 18-20, 2016 in the Medina Congress center, Yassmine Hammamet-Tunisia. It is an opportunity for engineering students & engineers to network and to discuss present and future engineering challenges. Besides, it helps undergraduate/graduate students and young professionals gain further insight, enabling exchange of knowledge and skills. Furthermore, a Student Branch (SB) contest was organized to select the SB organizer of the next edition. For this year, the IEEE Student Branch at ENIS (Tunisia Section) was the winner.

JIP’2016 days took place between 19th and 21st December 2016 in sousse-tunisia.These days have provided an opportunity for debates and exchanges between teachers, professionals and researchers in order to share their experiences and enhancing their innovative pedagogical practices.

In JIP’2016, the two axes that have been taken are the “Educational innovation for the professionalization”and the “Educational innovation for Learning” in which we had the opportunity to attempt the talk of Pr. Edmundo Tovar – Vice president of Educational Activities and Awards, Spain.

Pr. Edmundo Tovar has talked about the “Extension of the openness concept for educational purposes as result of advances in the digital technologies” and how the distributed and heterogeneous data stores has attracted the attention of many researchers that attempts logically to interoperate an d integrate several different autonomous and heterogeneous information systems.
